Center for Strategy and International Security Studies
Introduction:
Center for Strategy and International Security Studies, both of which being the one of the first fields that diplomacy and international relation majors touched on, are important areas to study for students majoring in diplomacy and international relation. Warfare and security issues have concerned people for thousands of years through out the history of man-kind.
To be specific, in our case, we have to face the threat from the communist party in China that is getting greater and more significant in recent years. Our Government’s long term strategies were to ensure the safety of our territory and to avoid conflicts/warfare both domestically and internationally. From the earlier years' offense strategy to recent years' defense strategy, both strategies have been revolving based on the changes of domestic situation. On the other hand, as the power of the United States fluctuates internationally, our national security has been greatly influenced. Thus, with the combination of relevant colleague expertise, Center for Strategy and International Security Studies was established.
Mission:
1. Short term: To become a successful department research center
2. Middle term: To become one of the top school research center
3. Long term: To plan and to set up center for strategy and international security studies
Future Development:
1. Research: International Conference will be hold to increase research activities
2. Publish: To publish strategy and international security book
3. Teach: To continue to cooperate with international affairs and open a center for strategy and international security studies camp
